Here's what we can do for you:
Fly a sailplane today: our Soaring Orientation Flights
If you're thinking about taking up the sport, consider the Soaring Orientation Flight:
- A half-hour flying lesson with one of our certified flight instructors, and you'll get
- 30-minute ground instruction.
- Membership in our club for one month.
- A 30-minute (approx.) introductory flight, from Bandel Airport in Eighty-Four, PA (just 45 Minutes south of Pittsburgh).
- One issue of Soaring, the member magazine of the Soaring Society of America
- A free three-month membership to the Soaring Society of America (ends automatically)
The Soaring Orientation Flight costs $99. This includes your one-month membership to Pittsburgh Soaring Club, which allows you to come back, take lessons and fly with an instructor at member rates!
Who can fly? Weight limits.
Please advise us if you weigh more than 195lbs.
Gift vouchers
Buying a voucher as a gift for someone? No problem - just
give us their name when you pay. The voucher is redeemable during the gliding season (Apr-Oct)
up to one year from date of purchase. The voucher is non-refundable.
